Haunty

Take the sceptre from the king and pass it all around to see.
Bed was small we'd fit right in,
Sleep on my face and stroke my chin,
My chest would shiver to your touch,
It's winter now, I don't know much about the cold,
And I roll over to you again,
Keep myself and know that you're right here
Take the sceptre from the king and pass it all around to see,
Take the crown from the queen and make sure she never sees.

Mulholland Drive
02:22
|
|||
She says she likes Mulholland Drive,
But I know she's lying,
I follow her eyes as they land on a box set,
And I don't really know why we haven't had sex yet
I look to roll a cigarette,
Distract myself from thinking of how we met,
And why I'm always forced to listen to The Smiths,
When I'm with you
Just blow off some steam,
And keep it serene, I'm sure that you know your worth,
Blanket, wet dreams, ripped at the seams,
And don't you know where to stop,
Keeping on that bop
Pull my arms and shake your hips,
Don't take the charge, just pay the check,
You know that there's a reason we'll never be rich,
And you know it's true
You know I can be hit or miss,
But catch me at my best and I'll make your wish,
There's something in the water when we're on the piss,
When I'm with you
Just blow off some steam,
And keep it serene, I'm sure that you know your worth,
Blanket, wet dreams, ripped at the seams,
And don't you know where to stop,
Keeping on that bop

A Pantomime
03:28
|
|||
The only pantomime I saw when I was five,
Was my parents fighting with knives again,
That summer solitude, I carefully induced,
Led to breaking down again,
I haven't slept alright, since the hollow masses might,
Take me down again
The only concubine I met when I was nine,
Has broken my heart in two again,
She left on autumn's eve, brought winter to it's knees,
Slack-jawed hustle won't do again,
And now I'm 23, I'm lost in company,
Just take me down again

When you hear those cops been called again,
And your brothers just ain't safe not when,
You're taking pills in the corner of the basement,
And you know that you've gotta be spaced when
Lights out, rough crowd, fuck me again,
It's like the dirt you find on top of a hidden gem,
Hug the floor, grab a chair, maybe meet a friend,
Try and do this for another 30 minutes yeah
'Cause there's weaving and waving, an illicit haven,
For all the shit you be craving, and I don't think I'm needing any more,
'Cause I don't wanna be the first person out the door,
And I don't wanna be the first person touching floor
'Cause when you hear those cops been called again,
And your brothers just ain't safe not when,
You're taking pills in the corner of the basement,
And you know that you've gotta be spaced when
Never let her go,
Wanna see your face again,
Never let her go,
Let me see your face again
When you hear those cops been called again,
And your brothers just ain't safe not when,
You're taking pills in the corner of the basement,
And you know that you've gotta be spaced when
Lights out, rough crowd, fuck me again,
It's like the dirt you find on top of a hidden gem,
Hug the floor, grab a chair, maybe meet a friend,
Try and do this for another 30 minutes yeah
Never let her go,
Wanna see your face again,
Never let her go,
Let me see your face again

Stroll back to me,
And I will give you everything that you wanted,
It's not enough for me,
I played my hand, gave it my best,
And now I'm back here and I'm doing the rest,
And that's enough for me to sit down with
'Cause Sunday morning don't you believe I'm sorry,
The breakfast I made is a sign,
Greet my day with a look so charming,
You sit there without seeing why
From here on out I'll never know,
Where head and heart collide again,
Is it enough to grow old,
And leave behind my friends
Lie beneath the bright sky,
A daughter from the moon afar,
You always said that chaos gave,
Birth to a dancing star
Hold my heart in simple cage,
Wisdom held like a wizened sage,
Seize my eyes with your stare,
Broken glass and sugar cubes,
Thimbles crackling under my shoes,
Hold my breath and take it away
Sunday morning don't you believe I'm sorry,
The breakfast I made is a sign,
Greet my day with a look so charming,
You sit there without seeing why
'Cause from here on out I'll never know,
Where head and heart collide again,
Is it enough to grow old,
And leave behind my friends
Lie beneath the bright sky,
A daughter from the moon afar,
You always said that chaos gave,
Birth to a dancing star

In Limbo
04:09
|
|||
I've been left to ponder what it means
To steal a heart and lose a dream again,
No time
To break the bond and snap the ties
And recognise the old advice that I
Should ignore
I've done the deed, I've read the book,
But I know that it's not enough friend
To start
Count the losses and lucky strikes,
I can't believe I'm still alive when
It'll cut to dark.

Babel
04:37
|
|||
It's always a mild attack,
A dream of rum and jack,
Complete the open task,
And breathe
Hit the streets, my tobacco's gone,
Boot down the door and sing this song,
Try and find me don't you let it go,
Pills on the floor and broken glass,
Break my face with a baseball bat,
Force yourself on me, make me feel like gold
Bulimic from those photographs,
You took of me from autumn past,
Shiny people breaking down my door,
Aim it at my chest,
Point blank range makes less of a mess,
Climbing the tower to Babel, here we go
